some dreams live on in time forever
those dreams, you want with all your heart
and i will do whatever it takes
follow through with the promise i made
put it all on the line
what i hoped for at last would be mine
if i could reach,higher
just for one moment touch the sky
from that one moment in my life
i am gonna be stronger
know that i have tried my very best
i would put my spirit to the test
if i could reach
some days are meant to be remembered
those days we rise above the stars
so i will go the distance this time
seeing more the higher i climb
that the more i believe
all the more that this dream would be mine

Seldom, very seldom does complete truth belong to any human disclosure; seldom can it happen that something is not a little disguised,or a little mistaken.

To go or not to go?
Or should it be to hold or not to hold?
That was probably the question on the organisers' mind for this year's countdown event. The conclusion: To hold the event @Sentosa as planned (since many people have obviously already purchased their oh-so-expensive tickets) but there won't be a live telecast and no fireworks display.
Countries like Thailand and M'sia have cancelled all plans for a countdown following the tsunami tragedy. It has been an awful week for the world and for their people.
You ask youself what you can do. It may not go beyond the donation of money and old clothes. But perhaps it helps to elevate the sense of helplessness one gets from viewing clips of dead bodies on TV if we place ourselves in a mood of gloom and doom as well.
Is it a sense of moral obligation and righteousness then that we should not have fun tomorrow? It seems horribly wrong to be having fun when others out there are suffering. Alternatively, are we going to stay home and mourn? Is being excessively sad the right way to go? Is there a balance to humanity love?
While I will not be going down to Sentosa tomorrow night,I do have plans to meet friends, which were set out as long as a week back. But partying just seems so out of the question right now that we'll probably just sit around and chill.
Perhaps karma will work in such a way that some good cheer to usher in the New Year will help dispel all the sadness that is hanging in the air.
