As I was watching the movieShall We Dance? today,I was reminded of how mundane everyday life can be.
If you let it be.
Doing the same routine tasks day after day,meeting the same people day in and day out,visiting the same places every time…it sounds like a nightmare to me but I think many people are trapped in this labyrinth.
Can we get out of it? Do we even want to get out of it?
Sometimes we get so caught up in our own comfort zone that we don’t want to budge anymore. We are afraid of leaving all that we are used to behind and take the first step into the big unknown. We become vulnerable to changes,we lose our immunity to counter shocks in our lives. Can you recall the last time you did something totally wild and impromptu? If you can,I’m sure you can remember the sense of exhilaration that took your breath away…a moment that makes life feel like it is worth living.
Let us not be the people whom Richard Gere meets in the show. People who live their days only to ask themselves “Is that it?” at the end. Let us not be ashamed of chasing after what others may think is silly and putting all else on the line. Sometimes if we don’t cross the line, we won’t know what is waiting for us on the other side.
Passion and love. Have you found it,but perhaps lost it? Rekindle that flame and make it burn brighter.
For me,I’ll be pursuing the sparks in my life too. To make it a life that bursts like fireworks into the night.
Yup,the show is nice. The pacing is good and it's a pretty refreshing and easy watch. Suitable choice for relaxation after a day's work *winkz* You should go watch it. Isn't watching movies what couples do most anyway lolx... :p
