There are probably a few important men in our lives.
Men who know what you want and men who give you what you want.
I visited one of such men yesterday - my hairstylist.
Finally forked out some time to go and do my hair. Hair dying after all that intensive swimming. Decided to stay with straight hair instead of doing big curls after toying with the idea for so long. Jiahui looks so pretty in hers,nearly convinced me to try it. Maybe I'll try curls some time in the future. Can't quite imagine myself though,hmmm...try a wig? Will probably kill myself over managing them anyway so perhaps not quite suitable for fuss-free me lolx...
Certainly took a lot of patience and discipline to sit in the chair for 4 odd hours. Sigh,the things we do for pretty locks haha. Felt guilty if I didn't do something productive so forced myself to do my module readings instead of flipping mags. Think i looked like a freak reading a bunch of chinese notes there -.-" But felt quite pampered as usual,felt very safe to leave the fate of my hair to my hairstylist. Wouldn't really want to trust anyone else with it. After all,a trip to the salon shouldn't be filled with a sense of trepidation like a trip to the dentist right?
Have always admired hairstylists. It's such a cool skill to possess,who cares about a lousy paper qualification when you can rule the world with a pair of scissors and comb. Unless baldness becomes cool in the next century but even Demi Moore can't do that :p
Also returned to work yesterday. Hope my boss finds a replacement soon,my heart not really into teaching now with so many things to settle. The center got an internal face-lift during the Dec hols,new cheery posters and charts are all up. Almost couldn't recognise the place after a month's break. Was positioned at this newly set up corrections table too but it was kinda fun helping the kids with their mistakes. Hmm,think i'll miss many of them when i'm gone,the cute way they greet me haha.
Went ktv with Zhiyun,Wendy and Gabriel today. Almost couldn't make it when my supervisor decided to hold us back in school. Only ended discussions after dragging for another hour plus,with all our handphones vibrating like crazy in our bags. Then before leaving my supervisor reminded us that she was working overtime for us. Wah,like we gotta prostrate ourselves in front of her in gratitude,sheesh...Can't stand it! Made me rush down all the way to Woodlands. The branch there is quite similar to Orchard's. Michelle's mum will probably xtreme-label it as some sleazy joint and get all paranoid again >.<" Sang quite a bit despite my tired state haha. Some gd ol' songs like my Valen Hsu and Panda's duets,oh and songs by Joey,Kit,Sammi,Kelly etc etc. Luckily our singing didn't shatter any glasses :p They gave us so many vouchers but doubt will be singing any time soon again in Jan. A fun time overall,hope i didn't bully Gabriel too much though haha,in case he feels "terrorised". Can't find another potential boyfriend for Wendy,should he run away. After all,good guys are almost extinct,if not already :p
