some dreams live on in time forever
those dreams, you want with all your heart
and i will do whatever it takes
follow through with the promise i made
put it all on the line
what i hoped for at last would be mine
if i could reach,higher
just for one moment touch the sky
from that one moment in my life
i am gonna be stronger
know that i have tried my very best
i would put my spirit to the test
if i could reach
some days are meant to be remembered
those days we rise above the stars
so i will go the distance this time
seeing more the higher i climb
that the more i believe
all the more that this dream would be mine

Seldom, very seldom does complete truth belong to any human disclosure; seldom can it happen that something is not a little disguised,or a little mistaken.

Watched Lemony Snickets’ A Series of Unfortunate Events today. Despite the warning and all (yes,it was an adorable introduction, the little elf is cute!), it wasn’t the most unfortunate decision to watch the show. A nice way to spend my afternoon. Found it quite light-hearted somehow though haha.
Could it be that I’m too fortunate? So I’m always looking for the silver lining in situations that are deemed most unfortunate, to maintain my status quo. There are after all many less unfortunate people out there, you must admit.
Yet very often we seem to compare ourselves with people whom we feel are better off than us,be it in terms of intelligence, wealth, beauty, creativity, you name it. Even personality is no exception. You see people who try to enter your world, who try to imitate yourself. I think that’s one of the most unfortunate things that could take place. You lose your identity. You are a nobody but an imposter. And I think it makes you very ugly. Count Olaf anyone?
Who do you want others to see you as? The one you aspire to be, may not be your true self inside. It’s only a matter of time that the truth gets revealed. So be yourself. And I think we will find people who appreciate us for who we are.
Then we will agree with the show that in the end, sometimes we are fortunate just to have each other.
