some dreams live on in time forever
those dreams, you want with all your heart
and i will do whatever it takes
follow through with the promise i made
put it all on the line
what i hoped for at last would be mine
if i could reach,higher
just for one moment touch the sky
from that one moment in my life
i am gonna be stronger
know that i have tried my very best
i would put my spirit to the test
if i could reach
some days are meant to be remembered
those days we rise above the stars
so i will go the distance this time
seeing more the higher i climb
that the more i believe
all the more that this dream would be mine

Seldom, very seldom does complete truth belong to any human disclosure; seldom can it happen that something is not a little disguised,or a little mistaken.

There are days when thick bestsellers just aint your cup of tea.
What comes to the rescue then? I would say definitely a good easy read for the mind and soul.
When I visit the library,I tend to browse through the rows and rows of books. Not looking for any particular genre, author or title. I pick up what I coined as ‘fated’ books. Books that somehow make your hand reach out for it. Can’t explain why. But of course, many books appeal to me since I’m not too fussy a reader. They seem to plead, “Read me! Please take me home!” but I could only place some back on the shelves, apologetically thinking “I will…next time”, and lug my book limit to the checkout counter. Maybe it’s a good thing that the library limits 4 books per person. Haven’t got my premium membership any more. :(
Before I digress too much,I've just finished reading this book.
It’s an illustrated book, very much like a children’s storybook but with a not-so-much-for-kids theme. It’s a really short story and yeah I enjoyed it. It’s a delightful light read especially when the rain is pouring outside while you are nicely cocooned in your safe and dry haven...like today...don't you just lurve the blissful feeling ^-^ Actually think it would be nice to write something like that one day too,hmmm......
FYI, Dahl is the granddaughter of our familiar Roald Dahl. She was also the inspiration for the character Sophie in the book The BFG. You might have seen her in mags before cuz she models too.
I found this website upon my further interest in the book. It’s the official webbie for the book. Includes some opening extracts there too. Can take a look if you are interested yah.
On a separate note,I don't care what people say about chick lit. I actually do enjoy reading them sometimes k. Nice what, makes me relax and laugh, and just be in the girlie mood :p I have plans to start attacking the Shopaholic series by Kinsella soon. Shall bring the first book along on my trip heh. :)
