Time and distance apart put many things to the test. Even if we are not be there for each other, who’s to say in spirit means any less? We may have less things to say to each other but who’s to say silence is necessarily a bad thing? Maybe I did not think of you today, maybe you did not think of me today. But it is okay,it is all normal. There are so many things going on in a day. The hour hand never stops turning, the sun never stops rising. Our mundane lives go on as usual. We are powerless to change anything that has taken place but as long as today is not our last, we can always do something about it in the future.
We may have changed a little but yet knowing you from way back still makes me see remnants of the old you. It’s like the shadow that sticks to you. You can’t ditch it even if you want to. Be it a positive or negative trait of yours, it is a part of you that people have come to love as well.
Just as the saying goes,fate determines who comes into our lives but the heart determines who stays.
When I look inside my heart and find you there,I see a friend. And that’s all that matters.
