Dear Sha has been posted to Hong Kong to work. Some of us went to see her off at the airport this morning. While Sha has always been an independent babe, this is still an embarkation of a new phase in life. I think this is going to be one really wonderful experience for her. All the best to the gal. From her, it made me see how life can present to you the most exciting and unforeseen opportunities at times. And it tugs at my heartstrings to see how my friends are all striving to carve out a better tomorrow. Sometimes,what matters is not the fame and recognition that we get from work or the amount of money we can make. It is in enjoying the process and growing to be a better person.
It feels a little odd to be seeing friends off when some friends are returning home for good this December. Well, life never seems short of separations and gatherings. Just like how life is always full of ups and downs. Maybe the least we can do is to take comfort in the knowledge that we are living through it but we are never alone.
As for myself, I’m taking flight too. Going for a short trip to Yunnan. A place some of us might have seen before on the black box but have no inkling about other than her tribal ladies. I guess many young folks would probably not think of going there. No famous streets, no romantic landmarks, no theme parks, and yes,probably no shopping haha. Oops,I think I hear what you are thinking of right now. ;)
Thought it is interesting how the Chinese term '散心' could be literally loosely translated to mean ‘walking your heart’. You know,like walking a dog? Haha. So I guess I’m bringing my heart out for a stroll. Take in the beautiful scenery, learn new cultures, try new food, and breathe in that fresh air. It will do me good to just be away for a while.
