some dreams live on in time forever
those dreams, you want with all your heart
and i will do whatever it takes
follow through with the promise i made
put it all on the line
what i hoped for at last would be mine
if i could reach,higher
just for one moment touch the sky
from that one moment in my life
i am gonna be stronger
know that i have tried my very best
i would put my spirit to the test
if i could reach
some days are meant to be remembered
those days we rise above the stars
so i will go the distance this time
seeing more the higher i climb
that the more i believe
all the more that this dream would be mine

What is the true test of compatibility?
It is said that the measure lies in how good you are for each other.
I question what does ‘how good’ mean then.
It is all very vague but maybe it is the case because it IS vague. It depends a lot on how you want to measure this intangible something.
My simple pea-sized brain prefers it less complicated. It ponders about it and ends up concluding that it is all about a feeling when two persons meet.
How often is it you meet someone who makes you feel good when you are with him or her? It is a kind of unique feeling that make you go warm inside and only you can identify with it. When you are with that person, you feel you can just be yourself; you don’t have to wear a smile or jest around if you don’t want to. At times when you are tired, you feel like no words need to be exchanged and the person will understand. You feel like you want to take care of that someone for a long time and while that person might make you worry, you know the person will not make you unhappy. When all seems bleak, it takes only that person’s presence to make everything seem all right again. Somehow you feel like the person has the potential to open up a whole new side of you that you might not even know exists.
It is not often that you meet someone like that. No matter how short the encounter, you were for a moment having that indescribable feeling. Your heartstrings were tugged.
It is what counts the most but has often been the most slighted part as well, for we fail to acknowledge its presence, no matter how subtle the feeling comes across. Worse,we refuse to accept it for what it is. Instead we prefer to let ourselves be concerned with other factors. We add looks, status, qualifications, and age into the equation to see if things work out better. Some even drag around their past relationship baggages, using it as a yardstick for a possible next one that comes along. We make the measurement a whole lot more complicated than it needs to be. We become kind of greedy and we want more than ‘good’, we want ‘better’ or if possible, the ‘best’.
Are we thinking a little too much there and have missed out on the most important factor?
Maybe in the process we have overlooked certain possibilities that another person brings along when he or she crosses our paths. We tell ourselves we don’t know the person well and there is simply no time to get to know him or her better. Even if we want to make the attempt we tell ourselves there’s always tomorrow to do it. Maybe we take it for granted that the person will always be there so a day late is never too late. But perhaps it will one day be too late. And then we are just letting the person slip through our fingers when we could have grabbed hold of him or her.
