HAPPYBIRTHDAY!
Going out to Xiuzi,the gal with the birthday on the same year,same day but different month from me hehe. First amongst us to hit 24,woohoooo :)
Took half a day off from my fave seat in front of the laptop to go out. Caught the sneaks for Proof. Ok,so the review in the papers wasn’t good but hey,I like the show. Maybe because I haven’t seen the plays before? Hmmm but as your average movie-goer,the show is seriously not bad. Or I think Zhiyun would have strangled me for suggesting to watch. The show has a good deal of dialogue but they weren’t like trash talk to fill the silence so honestly I wouldn’t trade it for a soundtrack as suggested in the review. And for the flashbacks bit, well I didn’t feel that they lost me, in fact I quite like the narrative structure of the film. Funny a critic should feel the other way. And I guess I like the show because of its theme. That thin line between sanity and insanity (which I am probably teetering on now). The show didn’t fail to remind once again that who’s to say who’s insane or who’s the normal one at times. To the madman, we could all be the loonies. But be warned that there’s quite a bit of math in the show,made me think back of the days leading up to the As when I had to cram for the Maths C paper haha. I say let x be the function of gd ol’ memories of the subject. And if you need any more proof,err just go watch it for yourself? ;)
Did some shopping after the show. Miss shopping so much hehe. Ey,can’t quite recall when was the last time I went shopping. Seems really long ago. But no luck with the CNY clothes hunt. Gotta mention this gorgeous green jacket that I got though,so loving it. Zhiyun agrees that it is pretty too! :) Price is okay for a jacket but will set me back by a bit now,considering how I am supposed to be saving for the bkk trip,where more shopping awaits us. Oops. Say hi to plain bread and water days again.
My heart-attack of the day. On the phone with CC. Dude had kindly agreed to make a trip down to the ulu school copy shop to collect my readings.
Me: Hey,you helping me collect the readings now? CC: Yeah, you taking the SEA mod? Me: Nope CC: Then you ordered the notes for it? Me: Didn’t,I ordered the 6290 one, the cross-straits mod you know CC: Noooooo, 6290 is the SEA mod silly! Me: What the... ...?????
So now I have a semester worth of readings for a module I am not taking! And I don’t have the readings for the module that I need for Friday’s class! Arrgghhhh,why am I such a ditz? *pulls hair* Proves that keeping sane is getting tough for me.
