some dreams live on in time forever
those dreams, you want with all your heart
and i will do whatever it takes
follow through with the promise i made
put it all on the line
what i hoped for at last would be mine
if i could reach,higher
just for one moment touch the sky
from that one moment in my life
i am gonna be stronger
know that i have tried my very best
i would put my spirit to the test
if i could reach
some days are meant to be remembered
those days we rise above the stars
so i will go the distance this time
seeing more the higher i climb
that the more i believe
all the more that this dream would be mine

A short 2 days respite from work. Caught Transamerica and V for Vendetta. Yaay, satisfied that movie deprivation in me for a while. Lurve me peeps who could still squeeze in a movie after a long day at work and didnt snore during the shows haha. :) Then again, the shows were good! Two thumbs up for Felicity Huffman, she’s really good, nowhere like the Lynette in DH that we are so used to. The gay reference to LOTR in the show is also so funny haha. Good ol’ Freud would be grinning in his grave, the way we are so tuned in to the displacement process these days.
But I’m really writing to rave about V. Both the show and the character heh. Why do I think he is one charming character. Hmmm, must be the doing of the mask, the knives, that deep deep vocals and his gentlemanly moves. Hated the ghoul mask in Scream but I thought the Guy Fawkes mask actually looks kinda cute in a moustache-y way.
Anyways, a combi of political scheming, revenge, love, and human ideals all turn it into one really good show. A google search on the web turned up some interesting finds. That Londoners do celebrate the 5th November, there’s this bonfire night which they hold to commemorate the foiling of the gunpowder plot. Interesting. Good acting throughout too but slasher scenes got us squirming a little back there with the splish-splashing of ketchup on the screen. Okay, no spoilers, go get your tickets and watch it yah hehe.
