some dreams live on in time forever
those dreams, you want with all your heart
and i will do whatever it takes
follow through with the promise i made
put it all on the line
what i hoped for at last would be mine
if i could reach,higher
just for one moment touch the sky
from that one moment in my life
i am gonna be stronger
know that i have tried my very best
i would put my spirit to the test
if i could reach
some days are meant to be remembered
those days we rise above the stars
so i will go the distance this time
seeing more the higher i climb
that the more i believe
all the more that this dream would be mine

Seldom, very seldom does complete truth belong to any human disclosure; seldom can it happen that something is not a little disguised,or a little mistaken.

XL had her rom ceremony last weekend over at the Legends,Fort Canning. Especially memorable since it was the first rom I have attended. Used to be church weddings. Nothing like a nice outdoors summer wedding to get everyone in a sweet lovey dovey mood. The ‘I do’ and the exchange of rings, witnessed by the parents and close friends is one very special moment. The weight of each word of love and commitment spoken, along with the promise of a lifetime left unspoken. Marriage is indeed a milestone in our lives. To take that step into the unknown territory but holding the hand of the significant other. As friends,we can only offer our heartfelt best wishes to the couple.
Will not release pics of the wedding here upon request from my very shy bride. She was really beautiful in pink, can’t wait to see her in the white gown next year. They say girls look their prettiest in the wedding dress.
So to mark the event, here's presenting her trigger-happy guests instead.
Post-wedding blues certainly did not hit us the singles trio, for we crossed over to Park Mall for our taitai-ish afternoon tea after the event. But sentiments yes, admittedly we had lots of them. Over coffee,we chatted about fanciful dreams and plans for the near future. Sometimes when you verbalize the stuff that goes through your mind, you see how picture perfect you have imagined everything to be. The stuff fairytales, novels and movies are made up of. Ahhh, but is that life? You scoff. But is it not a sign of maturity that you are able to laugh at yourself? So little girls do grow up one day after all. And thus we held on to our singlehood ideals and went browsing through the wonderful home furnishing shops in the mall and weaved another dream for ourselves.
Our dream? To own our own place at 35. Guys? We will leave that to fate.
